Well I added a new feature that allows guests to once again make comments on maps as well as post in the shoutbox. Hopefully the spam will be kept to a minimal.

Well I happened to notice how much spam this page has gotten. I got bored today and decided to fix a few things. Not too many noticable changes but hopefully the spam and changes in map information should come to a halt (hopefully). On that note, members look toward the new poll, I need your input if I should delete all the maps on this page with incorrect information. If I get a decent amount of votes for yes, that means those who want to keep their maps, makes sure to update at least the map name. I also changed it so guests can no longer comment on different maps (its really not that hard to sign up). I could be a little rusty so if something doesnt work right make sure to give me a shout. Thanks, and a big shout to those who still use the page. Thanks for the support!

New Poll, sort of site related, just curious to who uses what.

Would like to just give a shoutout to people like EaglesArrows, Boxo, Slikerhawk, Viggolo, Sonsukka, and the other loyal members for sticking with SML and keeping the small community alive.

SML needs your help. Would you be willing or know anyone that has some basic PHP/CSS/HTML knowledge to help around on some bugs on the site. Also someone to just watch over it, to make sure it doesnt go out of wack. I just dont have the time anymore to committ to running/getting judges to vote in a contest. Even just somone that would be willing to round up some judges. Also if somone wants to look at the forum poster, I know you all enjoyed that. Would basically require changing the old code to fit with the new. Let me know if you can help out with anything to keep SML up and running the way you like it.

added forum images, go to your profile to access them. I will add a feature for when you update a map it goes to the top of the list. Then perhaps ill work on a map compiler, bmp, gif to png, and a forum.

Some New Features include a personal file manager and file upload controls, some javascript additions on the map uploader and shoutbox. Also personal layout preferences such as page width, font size, entire page color, etc can be accessible with a login. Also I included a better search feature on the maps page. I also added a show/hide javascript for the side menus. For now, to save your preference you have to go to edit your profile. More coming soon as always.

Followup to the previous news post (See Below)...you can now claim your files through here. Be Warned however that this will contribute to your 3-5mb limit for files you claim, therefore only claim those you want. Click Here

Big Announcement:
After recently learning about a 250mb site limit for the site, I have recently undergone some changes on the site in order to ensure that we save some space. One of those things is add limits to the file uploader. I'm asking all those who have uploaded files at sml to save them on your computer because I will be deleting most of the files. After I delete them you will be able to reupload however there will be some new rules.
1. Old guest files will be automatically deleted after 2mb limit has been reached.
2. Permanent files will require you to have an SML member account.
3. SML members will have a 3-5mb limit for files. Once that is reached you will need to delete your own files.

I encourage everyone to take part in the mapping contests run on the SML website. Mapping Contest #1 has been running for already 2 Weeks. Prizes will be announced in a future date.
